Weekend Overnight Site Monitor: Compass Clara House

$23.33/hour

Schedule

Saturday & Sunday nights, 7:30pm - 3:30am plus attendance at weekly staff meetings and supervision

Program

Compass Clara House is a transitional housing program. Families live for 6 – 18 months in private apartments, during which time parents engage in educational and vocational programs which lays the framework for a living wage career. The program provides licensed on-site childcare and afterschool programs as well as an array of support services.

Responsibilities

● Monitor safety of the building, grounds, and resident families
● Monitor adherence to program and visitor rules, and document any violations
● Provide informal counseling, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention
● Work collaboratively with staff to report and resolve any problems that arise
● Support community with safety and cleanliness of common areas and community space
● Ensure safety and parental supervision of children at all times
● Complete administrative tasks, cleaning, and case management follow-up as needed
● Complete daily site reports, and incident reports as needed
● Attend supervision meetings, staff meetings, and relevant trainings

Qualifications

● Comfortable working alone, overnight, ensuring the safety of a housing complex.
● Experience de-escalating volatile situations quickly.
● Competency with Microsoft office programs (outlook, word, excel), internet searches, and other computer applications.
● Understanding of issues facing homeless families.
● Understanding of trauma informed care and ability to implement trauma informed practices
● Outstanding work habits: punctual, reliable, cooperative, team-oriented
● Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging work

Location & Covid Considerations

Compass Clara House is located at 111 Page Street in San Francisco. The Site Monitor will work on site at all times, except when participating in trainings and other meetings via zoom. Compass has a wide range of precautions to keep staff and clients safe while on site. We also require Covid vaccination for all employees, including booster when eligible.
