The story of Compass Family Services begins in late 1914, with the founding of Travelers Aid San Francisco. Today, serving over 4,000 homeless and at-risk parents and children each year, or 1,500 families, we believe that every child needs a safe and stable home… To achieve our vision, Compass has identified an optimal building for purchase within our key service delivery area. Located at 37 Grove Street, it has over 18,000 square feet and will serve over 1,300 households each year and house a staff of 55 housing counselors, case managers and mental health clinicians and the administrative services they need to make their work happen.
