How to Refer a Client Family to CCAP

  1. Send an email to Megan Geary  with the client's information.

  2. Families can also come to 37 Grove during normal business hours to check-in with CCAP staff.

Please don't send a client referral via Salesforce or via email to the entire CCAP team.

While we strive to serve as many families as we can with special consideration for families already working with Compass, it can take up to 4-5 days for us to get back to folks depending upon our caseload, so please also encourage families to access the other Family Access Points:

How to Refer a Client Family to CBHS
Therapy is available to any family enrolled in one of Compass's programs. Please make a referral for your client to Compass Behavioral Health Services through CoDa/Salesforce. (Find instructions here). A few things will make this process go more smoothly:

1. Please make sure there are children listed in the case record. Unless the parent is pregnant, we cannot provide therapy for adults without minor children in their care. We can help you find resources for them at another agency. Please do not put in therapy referrals for anyone without children.

2. Please put in a housing tracker. We have a contract to provide services to clients living in HSH funded sites and need to report on this. We can also serve any Compass families, but we need to know where they are living.

3. Please fill out the section that says "reason for referral." It is really important that clients are aware you are making the referral. If the client does not want therapy, do not put in a referral.

Currently, our therapists are over capacity and we have about a month wait for clients to be assigned. If you have a client that needs to be seen sooner, please consult with Susan, Claire or Erik.

Counselor of the Day

In-person and telephone crisis counseling is available to clients who need to speak with someone immediately and are not currently engaged in weekly therapy with a Compass Behavioral Health Therapist. Please note that depending on the availability of therapists or the language capacity of the client, it may take up to 24 hours to find a time to connect with your client. Please confirm availability prior to offering the service to your clients.

How to request a Counselor of the Day crisis counseling session -

  1. Client completes an intake and request for behavioral health support with CFRC staff. Therapists are scheduled on site every day to support walk in requests however the service is pending availability.

  2. If a C.O.D. is not readily available at CFRC Drop-In, staff can email Susan with the subject line "COD needed". In the email, please provide client's full name, client phone number, and client's primary language. Do not email ALL CBHS.

If a client is having severe psychiatric symptoms (a psychiatric emergency), call 911 and inform your supervisor immediately.
