Are you up for the challenge? Walk, run and/or bike 50 miles or hours this summer to support Compass Family Services and the homeless and at-risk families we serve.

How to Fundraise for Compass when you Walk, Run or Bike?

Choose one of the fundraising options below, set your personal or team goal and invite family, friends and colleagues to support you as you participate in our HOME Run Challenge. Compete against other teams to raise the most funds to support San Francisco families! 

Create Your Own Fundraiser

Encourage your friends and family to support you and Compass while you participate in this challenge by creating a peer-to-peer fundraising page on our easy to use platform.

Get Involved with your Corporate Team

Create a fundraiser or support Compass through Benevity or a workplace giving platform. Fill out the form below and our team will help you and your team create a fundraiser.

Here are some examples of messages you can send to your network to encourage support:

"I am running 50 miles this summer as part of Compass Family Services' HOME Run Challenge to support unhoused families in San Francisco. Please support my fundraiser and make a contribution of $10 for every mile I run."

"My team and I are walking 50 miles this summer to raise money to support Compass Family Services. We will contribute $5 for every mile completed and we hope you will too! 


How to Track My Mileage or Time?

If you are tracking your time, use a stopwatch or a timer to track how much time you spend walking, running or biking this summer. 

If you are tracking your mileage, keep track by looking up the distance for the location you are walking, running or biking ahead of time or use an online fitness tracking tool, like Strava

You can track your time on a daily, weekly or monthly basis on a notepad or you can download and print our HOME Run Tracking worksheet here. Make sure to share frequent updates about your progress with your family, friends, or company team and encourage your community to contribute to your fundraising goal!

Daily: “Today I ran/walked/biked 30 minutes towards my 50 hour goal in the HOME Run Challenge to support Compass Family Services”

Weekly: “This week I ran/walked/biked 2 miles towards my 50 miles goal  in the HOME Run Challenge to support Compass Family Services”

Monthly: “This week I ran/walked/biked 10 hours towards my 30 hour goal in the HOME Run Challenge to support Compass Family Services”

At the End of the Event: “During the event, I ran/walked/biked a total of 50 miles in the HOME Run Challenge to support Compass Family Services”
