Families living in vehicles make up approximately 16% of Compass Family Services’ clients experiencing homelessness in San Francisco. Many of those who cannot afford to live indoors live in vehicles to mitigate the physical and mental risks connected to other forms of homelessness. Over the past year, Compass Family Services explored the issues and service needs of families living in vehicles. This report includes the learnings from our literature review, client data, and focus groups. Read the report below.
