C-Work supports parents with job readiness, barrier removal, skill building, job placement, and other resources to help client families find stable work and earn a livable wage.
Early Childhood Education (E.C.E)
Employment Pathway
The E.C.E pathway supports parents on the first step to becoming childcare providers and preschool teachers. Compass clients and those who meet eligibility requirements participate in a sixteen-week course and an internship to prepare them for childcare jobs.
Program Details​

Earn credits at City College San Francisco

Receive financial support for fees, books and transportation costs

Participate in a paid, 100-hour childcare internship with local childcare centers, after passing the class

Receive a monthly stipend while taking classes, after attendance is verified

Program offered in English, Spanish and Cantonese. Going through the E.C.E Employment Pathway does not qualify you to be a teacher.
General Workforce Development
Support Pathway
Supports parents by identifying career goals and barriers to employment and connecting parents to workforce opportunities such as: workshops, in person workforce spotlights, local job fairs, training opportunities, and other resources.
Referrals for the General Workforce Development Support Pathway are on pause until further notice.
How to get connected
Existing Compass clients can get connected by a referral from their Compass Case Manager. New clients can apply by emailing cwork@compass-sf.org.
