Lauren's law practice focuses on complex civil litigation at the trial and appellate levels. She has represented clients in both state and federal court. Lauren has been a long-time donor in Compass' annual Adopt-a-Family holiday project.

Steff graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in Psychology, which she followed with an MA from Boston University in Communications. After working in public relations, she pivoted to teaching Pre-Kindergarten at the Beacon Hill Nursery School in Boston. Steff was the PA president at the Jewish Community Center preschool and served on the PA executive committee at Town School for Boys as Vice President and Communications Chair. Steff has served as a mentor to students applying to high schools with the SMART program.

His expertise also includes management consulting and advisory assistance, involving forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and financing. Bob currently chairs the Audit Committee for Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture, serves on the board of Wu Yee Children’s Services, where he sits on the Finance Committee, Real Estate Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee. Bob joined the Compass board to help provide lasting solutions for homeless San Francisco families.

Katie is a Principal on the Obvious Ventures investment team where she invests in purpose-driven early stage companies. She has been volunteering with Compass since 2018 and served on the Compass Leadership Council from 2019 through 2023.

Frank Gutierrez is an accomplished Senior Executive with more than 30 years of demonstrated success spanning the financial services, software, high tech, and telecommunications industries.  Most recently serving as a Director of Software Engineering for Zendesk.
Frank is involved with several non-profits, including former board member at Raphael House, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving homeless families, volunteer at the SMART Program, a non-profit that helps low-income kids attend college, and school builder / supporter in rural Cambodia.  He believes in programs that help individuals break the cycle of poverty; by providing stable housing, job skills, educational opportunities, and a supportive environment.

Kimathi Marangu joined Visa in 2012, and is currently the Global Head of Prepaid. In this role, he leads a fast growing business serving fintech, government, gig economy and digital wallet clients around the world. He holds two U.S. Patent Office awards. Kimathi was elected to the Board of the American Red Cross Bay Area in March 2020, where he serves on the Blood Services committee. Visa and Visa Foundation are the 2023 Philanthropic Company of the Year. In July 2022 Kimathi was appointed to the Board of SamCERA, a $6 billion pension fund serving San Mateo public employees.

Linsey has served for 12+ years within BlackRock's iShares business. She also leads various volunteer and grant making programs within BlackRock through which she first became acquainted with Compass in 2015. Since then, Linsey has managed BlackRock's engagement with Compass and served as a member of the Compass Leadership Council for two years.

Linsey Thornton

Linsey has served for 12+ years within BlackRock's iShares business. She also leads various volunteer and grant making programs within BlackRock through which she first became acquainted with Compass in 2015. Since then, Linsey has managed BlackRock's engagement with Compass and served as a member of the Compass Leadership Council for two years.

She has been active in the Jewish Community Foundation since 2000, serving as a board member and officer, as well as on the Jewish Community Endowment Fund. He has worked as a program and financial analyst for the San Mateo County Manager’s Office, a Deputy District Attorney (San Mateo), owner and publisher of San Francisco magazine, and an active small investor in the film, commercial, restaurant, electronics component and real estate industries. Steven was motivated to become involved with Compass as homelessness has persisted as the preeminent challenge facing our beloved City.

With over 20 years of commercial banking experience, Doug began as a financial analyst, and then assumed roles in product management for deposits and cash management services. Eventually, he was responsible for marketing to commercial clients with over $2B in assets. Doug has also been an entrepreneur, co-founding two successful businesses. Doug serves on the board because he believes that every child deserves a safe and stable home.

He stays involved with Compass because he knows firsthand the tremendous long-term benefits families receive from being part of the Compass family.

Kim is a passionate women's health physician and advocate.  She is a graduate of UCSF medical school.  Additionally, she has masters in public health from UC Berkeley where she studied public health policy. Chris Jackson is a President at SFG Asset Advisors with decades of experience in investment and asset management. Prior to SFG, Chris worked as a Partner at Barbary Coast Capital Management LLC and Hoover Capital Management, and as Head of Marketing at Emerging Growth Management LLC. Chris received his BA in Economics from Lehigh University.

Donnie is currently Senior Manager, NAMER, Social Impact Sales at Twilio. A Bay Area native, Donnie launched a life of constant leaning with a degree in Globalization & Consumer Behavior from Cal and an MBA from Saint Mary’s. He strives to drive innovation in the health, finance, education and public sectors by leveraging strategic community alliances. A deep believer in technology’s ability to improve the lives of people of color, Donnie frequently speaks on a wide range of related topics to underrepresented communities country wide. Donnie is a dedicated local volunteer as well, leaning in with both his colleagues and his family in support of local service programs.

A Bay Area native, Donnie launched a life of constant leaning with a degree in Globalization & Consumer Behavior from Cal and an MBA from Saint Mary’s. He strives to drive innovation in the health, finance, education and public sectors by leveraging strategic community alliances. A deep believer in technology’s ability to improve the lives of people of color, Donnie frequently speaks on a wide range of related topics to underrepresented communities country wide. Donnie is a dedicated local volunteer as well, leaning in with both his colleagues and his family in support of local service programs.

Prior to joining Hamlin, Lauren served as Leadership Gifts Officer at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Associate Director of Development at the Exploratorium, and Director of the Annual Fund at Scripps College. She is a proud alumna of Scripps College, the all-women’s college of The Claremont Colleges Consortium.
