Compass SF Home promotes long-term housing stability through housing search assistance, rental subsidies, case management, and one-time financial assistance to cover rent for families at risk of eviction, as well as security deposits and first month's rent.
Intensive, hands-on support to help families find safe, permanent housing
Rental subsidies coupled with intensive case management to address:
Education and professional goals,
Self-sufficiency skills like how to find resources or advocate for their families,
Organizing expenses and effectively managing money,
Maintaining a safe and healthy household,
Fortifying their children's developmental and educational success
Assistance with security deposits and other move-in costs for families who have located housing, and with past due rent for families at imminent risk of homelessness
Housing search assistance for families with a Section 8 voucher
Aftercare case management for families who have exited a Compass program into permanent housing and want to continue to receive ongoing support.
Access to the food pantry, personal hygiene products, diapers, and baby supplies, and transportation assistance
Access to enriching educational and recreational activities for their children
How to get connected
For rental assistance: Please call 415-644-0504 ext. 2230 during the hours listed above. Please leave a message with your name and contact information and a counselor will contact you to determine if you are eligible for the Rental Assistance Project (RAP). Eligible families may also receive assistance with move-in costs or past-due utility bills that prevent a landlord from renting to them.
For housing subsidies: Call us at 415-644-0504 and follow the instructions to be directed to Central City Access Point. Calls will be returned within two business days.
