CHILDCARE SUPPORT

Compass Childcare Support Services helps parents facing homelessness access early care and education programs for their 0-5 year old children through access to subsidized childcare vouchers, case management, support with identifying suitable childcare options and then enrolling in a program, and ongoing support.

EMERGENCY HOUSING ASSISTANCE

Compass Central City Access Point is one of three entry points to San Francisco's Family Coordinated Entry system for families experiencing homelessness. Families receive intake and assessment to determine eligibility for shelter and housing programs as well as support resolving their housing crisis.

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER

Compass Family Resource Center offers services that support family well-being including support groups, classes, crisis counseling, and case management, as well as providing basic needs items such as groceries, diapers, and hygiene supplies.

MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Compass Behavioral Health Services offers confidential emotional support and therapy for families who are experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, newly housed, or engaged in any other Compass program. Services include on-demand crisis counseling, psychotherapy for individuals and families, children’s play therapy, and therapeutic support groups.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING

Compass Clara House is an 6–18 month transitional housing program where 13 families live in private apartments with on-site childcare and receive intensive wrap-around support within a uniquely supportive community.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Compass Children's Center is an accredited child care program that offers full-day early education and childcare with a curriculum focused on social and emotional development and preparation for kindergarten success for children ages 0–5 from homeless and extremely low-income families.

EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT

C-Work supports parents with job readiness, barrier removal, skill building, job placement, and other resources on the path to earning a livable wage. C-Work also offers a Early Childhood Education Career Pathway program including college credit and paid work experience.

FAMILY SHELTER

Compass Family Shelter is a private room shelter program that offers families facing homelessness a safe place to stay for up to six months along with intensive case management and other support to secure and maintain permanent housing.

PERMANENT HOUSING

The Margot is a site-based permanent supportive housing program where families live in modern, private 3-bedroom apartments and receive ongoing wrap-around support.

EMERGENCY HOTEL STAYS

Compass Urgent Accommodation Vouchers provide brief hotel stays for families experiencing homelessness as a part of the city's emergency shelter system, along with temporary, intensive case management to help families quickly find more stable housing.

EVICTION PREVENTION

C-Rent offers homelessness prevention services through financial support including back rent and move-in assistance, as well as case management and problem-solving services to prevent families from falling into homelessness.

HOUSING LOCATION SERVICES

Compass Housing Location Services provides housing search support to families who receive subsidies through Compass SF HOME as well as housing workshops and support for families who don’t qualify for a housing program but are actively homeless or at risk of homelessness.

RAPID RE-HOUSING

Compass SF HOME promotes long-term housing stability by providing both time-limited (2 or 3 year placements) and permanent rental subsidies along with case management and post-subsidy support to ensure ongoing success.
